Cookie policy

The short version: this site sets almost nothing. Below is the full, live list — it’s generated from the same inventory our consent banner runs on, so it can’t go out of date. Last reviewed July 2026.

You haven’t made a choice yet. Nothing optional is running unless your region allows it by default.

Strictly necessary

These make the site work — sign-in, security, and remembering the cookie choices you make here. They don't need consent and can't be switched off.

Statistics

Help us understand what's working — numbers, not names. Only run if you allow them.

Private briefing pages

Occasionally we send a named contact an unlisted briefing page written for them. Those pages set no cookies and store nothing in your browser, which is why they show no consent banner. Our server does keep a short visit log — the time the page was opened, the type of device, an approximate location (city and country), and the IP address — used solely to confirm the page reached the person it was written for and to time our follow-up. We rely on legitimate interests for this; write to us and we’ll show you or delete what’s held.

Where your consent is recorded

When you make a choice, we store a record of it — what you chose, when, and which version of this policy you saw — keyed to a random ID held only in your own browser. We never store your IP address with it. That record is how we prove we honoured your choice, and it’s yours to query: the ID is shown above when you have an active choice.
